
Fort Point Theatre Channel emerged in 2007 with an acclaimed production of 4:48 Psychosis, by Sarah Kane. This haunting play about suicide premiered after Kane's death in 2000.
Twice a year, Exclamation Point!, a series of free readings of new works, takes place at various locations in Fort Point, from empty offices to cafes to art studios.
In June 2008, Fort Point Theatre Channel presents "Gods, Monsters, and the Other," a festival of new works for the stage. Six playwrights explore our best and our darkest sides in a celebration of the quest for understanding ourselves and the magnificence of human beings.
In October 2008, during Fort Point Open Studios, FPTC presents An Evening of Modern Chamber Music Theatre, featuring Tierkreis, by Karlheinz Stockhausen, and The Voyage of the HMS Beagle, by Mark Warhol. Choroegraphy and staging by Mark Warhol and Sylvie Agudelo.
In November 2008, marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of William Saroyan, FPTC presents his Pulitzer-prize-winning masterpiece, Time of Your Life. The play is set in a honky-tonk near the San Francisco waterfront, and the production will take place in a bar in Fort Point, near the Boston waterfront.
