Individual Referrals
We refer clients, individually, to full time, permanent jobs that pay $20,000 to $30,000 a year and offer benefits. When clients need services we do not provide, such as work-appropriate clothing, housing, or access to voicemail, we arrange for them to get help from other organizations.

Intensive Mentoring
With our help, our clients succeed. 70% are continuously employed for two years. We stay in touch with our clients for at least two years to help them solve challenges and progress in their careers. We also help them resolve family and transportation issues that could otherwise lead to job loss. While our stated commitment is for two years, we are here for our clients as long as they need us.

Interview Coaching
Our job-search/job-readiness course includes 20 practice interviews with staff members and volunteers from local companies. Once the client enters job search with us, we provide additional one-on-one coaching after every job interview and in our weekly job-search support group.

Job Search
All clients participate in a highly interactive four-week job-search/job-readiness course, which teaches basic job-search skills and workplace culture while developing students' relationships with each other and the Career Collaborative staff. The course focuses on topics such as networking, goal setting, and considering the employer's point of view. We provide individual job-search help, including assistance with resumes, online applications and cover letters in our staffed resource room, and referrals to employers with good jobs.
